Bracewell Represents Brookfield in Strategic Investment With Landmark Infrastructure Partners

HOUSTON  Bracewell LLP represented an affiliate of Brookfield Asset Management Inc. in a strategic investment with Landmark Infrastructure Partners LP in forming a joint venture to invest in core infrastructure assets.

Landmark contributed a portfolio of assets in the transaction, including associated debt, in exchange for approximately 50 percent interest in the joint venture and $65.5 million in cash. Landmark is expected to use the proceeds from this transaction to reduce its leverage levels and reinvest in assets in its primary industries through its various acquisition and development activities.

Brookfield is a leading global alternative asset manager with over $285 billion in assets under management. The company has a more than 115-year history of owning and operating assets with a focus on real estate, renewable power, infrastructure and private equity.

Bracewell’s representation included a broad team across several practices, including corporate, securities, finance, tax, real estate and antitrust.
