About Joseph

Joseph Lund Lasher focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, including federal and state court litigation and international and domestic arbitration. He advises clients through all phases of the litigation process, including motion practice, trial and settlement. Joseph has experience handling complex litigation matters, including breach of contract and fraud claims, bankruptcy litigation and intellectual property litigation.

Additionally, Joseph spent nine months on a secondment with the litigation, investigations and enforcement team at an international banking group, giving him valuable insight into the key issues that financial institutions face in the current market. He also devotes substantial time to pro bono matters, including representing clients in landlord-tenant disputes and assisting clients in immigration matters.

Joseph previously served as judicial intern to the Honorable Nanette Laughrey of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. He also worked at the Duke Health Justice Clinic as a certified law student, representing clients in disability cases.

Pharmaceutical company — represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration concerning alleged breaches of a license agreement resulting in an award of no damages

CARES Act Loan Programs — advising lenders and borrowers on documenting and other aspects of the loan programs offered under the US Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)

Archdiocese of New York — part of the team to conduct an independent review of the Archdiocese of New York’s response to the clergy sexual abuse crisis

Natixis — as administrative agent for the first lien lender group in the MDC Energy LLC (d/b/a MDC Texas Energy) Chapter 11 bankruptcy case
