
About Joe
With more than four decades of experience, Joe Hull's legal practice concentrates on federal, state and local taxation, including both planning and controversy work. Joe has experience representing clients in tax matters in many industries, including real estate; oil, gas and petrochemical; financial; aerospace; equipment leasing; public finance; and high tech and telecommunications. Joe's additional areas of practice are real estate development and finance, transactions, syndications and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs); equipment leasing; partnerships and limited liability companies; general business planning and formation, acquisitions and reorganizations; nonprofit entities; and tax-exempt financing.
State and local matters have included corporate income and franchise taxes, including unitary, allocation and apportionment issues; property taxes; sales and use taxes; city business taxes; utility user taxes; environmental taxes; transfer taxes; unclaimed property and escheat laws; and other excise taxes.
Joe joined Bracewell as a partner in 1998, after 28 years of practice in Los Angeles.
