Bracewell Wins Two Awards at 2021 Women in Business Law Americas Awards

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP won two awards at the 2021 Women in Business Law Americas Awards, held on September 29. The awards, which are presented annually by Euromoney Legal Media Group, recognize leading women lawyers for their contributions to the practice of law as well as law firms for their commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Washington, DC partner Danielle M. Varnell was named “Energy, Natural Resources & Mining Lawyer of the Year.” Varnell works extensively on M&A and joint venture transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. She has advised clients on some of the largest wind, solar and battery storage transactions in the world, as well as on transactions involving innovative clean technologies such as carbon capture and sequestration.

In addition, Bracewell won the “Best Firm for Women in Business Law – North America” award in recognition of the firm’s long-standing commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession.

Bracewell was shortlisted for a total of 14 practice area, firm and jurisdiction awards in 2021.
