Bracewell Advises Apache Corporation and Subsidiary in Development of SCM Alpine With Salt Creek Midstream

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP is advising Apache Corporation and Apache Midstream LLC, a subsidiary of Apache Corporation, in the formation of SCM Alpine, LLC. SCM Alpine, an affiliate of ARM Energy Holdings LLC, is developing a natural gas liquids header system that will have a capacity of 445,000 barrels per day. Apache Midstream has an option to acquire a 50 percent stake in SCM Alpine.

ARM Midstream Management, LLC, an affiliate of ARM Energy, will construct, manage and operate the header system, which will consist of two pipeline segments, one that will begin at the Salt Creek processing facilities in Reeves County, Texas and the other that will begin at the Apache Midstream processing facilities in Reeves County, Texas. The $100 million project is supported by 10-year commitments from both Salt Creek and Apache Corporation.

The project is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2019. 

Bracewell’s representation includes both Apache Midstream’s equity option and Apache Corporation’s transportation commitment.
