Transition to the new Administration brings significant change to the policy and regulatory landscape for environmental attorneys. Bracewell’s Environmental Strategies Group is here to keep you informed. Throughout the month of March, we will host a weekly series of 30-minute webinars addressing key issues in flux, the agencies and political appointments influencing change, and consequences for the regulated community.

Join Bracewell's Environmental Strategies Group and Policy Resolution Group for our second of five sessions.

President Biden has promised an “all-of-government” approach to fight climate change and made it clear that, under his administration, federal departments and agencies will take climate change into account in all their programs, policies, and actions. What will this mean in practice? Bracewell’s Jeff Holmstead, Ann Navaro, and Daniel Pope will provide an overview of how climate change considerations will likely affect NEPA assessments, ESA consultations and listing decisions, and regulatory actions taken by EPA and the Department of Energy. They will also highlight the impact that the Administration’s new “social cost of carbon” may have on a number of decisions made by federal departments and agencies.
