The National Law Journal Honors Warren Harris as 2023 General Litigation Trailblazer

HOUSTON – The National Law Journal honored Bracewell LLP’s Warren W. Harris as a 2023 General Litigation Trailblazer. Harris is among 60 litigators nationwide who moved the needle in the legal industry and made significant advancements in their respective practices.

Harris, who is a partner in Bracewell’s Houston office and chair of the appellate practice, handles high-stakes appeals in Texas and across the United States. He was recognized for winning a significant victory in a high-profile sex trafficking lawsuit against business software provider Salesforce. On August 3, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, in a 2-1 decision, reversed an Illinois district court ruling and rejected Salesforce’s claim that Section 230 shielded the company from civil liability. 

“This case clarifies several important legal points where there is little guidance from appellate courts regarding the elements of beneficiary liability claims and the interaction between these claims and Section 230,” Harris told NLJ.
