Bracewell Picks Up Employment Partner in Houston

Bracewell’s Kelly Robreno Koster recently spoke with Law360 about joining the firm and why she chose labor and employment law.

“Employment law is not just about rules and regulations; it is about people and behaviors,” Koster said. “It is endlessly fascinating to witness the interactions between employees and organizations.”

Koster said she was attracted to Bracewell’s robust labor and employment team and that the firm’s reputation as a premier energy law firm was particularly appealing.

“Novel labor and employment issues — such as wage and hour issues, which is my specialty — constantly arise in this industry,” she said. “Being at Bracewell gives me the opportunity to be at the forefront of this practice area.”

Koster added that in March, she was part of an FLSA jury trial in the Western District of Texas where her and her team received a great result for an oilfield services company.

“I’m excited about drawing on that experience to help represent Bracewell’s energy clients,” Koster said.
