Bracewell Represents Entergy Mississippi in $314 Million Acquisition of NRG Wholesale Generation Facility

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP is representing Entergy Mississippi, Inc. in its acquisition of the Choctaw facility, a natural gas-fueled electrical generation plant with an 810 MW capacity, for the purchase price of $314 million. The Choctaw facility is currently owned by NRG Wholesale Generation LP, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of GenOn Energy, Inc. Pursuant to the purchase agreement announced on August 21, 2018, Entergy Mississippi, Inc. agreed to buy all assets, real property and interests for use in the operation of the Choctaw facility. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019.

Entergy Mississippi is a subsidiary of Entergy Corporation, a Louisiana-based utility holding company.
