Bracewell’s George Fatula Selected by Law360 as a 2017 Energy Rising Star

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP is pleased to announce that Partner George D. Fatula has been named to the list of 2017 Energy Rising Stars by Law360. Fatula, along with his fellow Rising Stars honorees, will be profiled by Law360 in the coming weeks.

Elected partner in January 2017, Fatula’s work over the years with Bracewell has contributed to the firm’s Band 1 ranking by both Chambers Global and Chambers USA in Energy: Oil & Gas (Regulatory & Litigation).

“Clients have thought of George as a partner for years, given his judgment and experience,” said Mark K. Lewis, Managing Partner of Bracewell’s Washington office and head of the firm’s oil and gas regulatory practice. “From thinking big picture to working hard and providing practical advice to help clients develop infrastructure projects, George exemplifies what I think of as a ‘rising star.’”

Also listed the last four consecutive years by Thomson Reuters as a Washington, D.C. Rising Star (2014-2017), Fatula has worked on billions of dollars of energy-related transactions, regulatory matters, projects and controversies. He advises natural gas, oil and liquids pipeline and storage project developers in negotiating commercial agreements, terms of service and navigating the regulatory and approval process for the development of new and re-purposed pipeline infrastructure projects before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other regulatory agencies. Fatula represents producers, marketers and midstream service providers in commercial, transactional and FERC regulatory matters, including ongoing compliance, tariff and certificate proceedings, enforcement and contested matters.
