Patrick Connolly focuses on patent litigation and adversarial intellectual property matters in federal district courts, before the International Trade Commission (ITC), and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Additionally, Patrick regularly advises clients on matters related to patentability, validity, infringement, standard-essentiality, freedom-to-operate and patent landscape analyses, patent and technology licensing agreements and matters related to patent royalty audits. He also drafts and prosecutes patents involving mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, optical, software, and clean technology innovations.
Prior to law school, Patrick worked as a primary examiner at the USPTO in the optical and electro-mechanical arts with a focus on optical measuring and testing using interferometry.
