Joshua Cunningham advises clients on regulatory, litigation, enforcement, and policy matters across the energy and infrastructure industries, with a focus on matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). He assists oil and natural gas pipeline, storage, and LNG clients in navigating a variety of strategic issues arising out of large-scale construction projects, regulatory compliance, enforcement defense, and federal rulemaking matters. These matters extend to energy transition issues such as carbon dioxide.
During law school, Joshua concentrated on energy law and its intersection with international law and policy, where he served on The George Washington Journal of Energy and Environmental Law. Additionally, he was an active member of Lambda Law and worked as a law clerk for multiple nonprofit organizations.
