About Claire

Claire Cahoon focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, insurance recovery, government enforcement and investigations, and appeals. In addition to her direct client work, she co-hosts  Bracewell’s “Covered: The Insurance Law Podcast for Corporate Policyholders” and frequently updates the firm’s clients regarding impactful legal news, particularly relating to data privacy and cybersecurity. Claire’s straightforward approach and creative thinking helps clients efficiently navigate legal challenges.

Claire’s legal career began in college while working as a Law Clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office. Her litigation career at Bracewell began as a summer associate, gaining further experience as a legal intern at the Human Rights Initiative and a legal extern in the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas. She was named an American Constitution Society Next Generation Leader in 2018.
