About Catherine

Cathy has extensive experience advising public utilities and competitive energy issuers on securities offerings. She represents issuers, underwriters and institutional investors in the full range of debt, equity and hybrid securities offerings by such issuers, including offerings of first mortgage and collateral trust bonds, green bonds, unsecured notes, tax-exempt debt, debt for projects, high-yield debt, and common and preferred equity. She also represents energy and utility companies in commercial lending transactions.

Cathy is ranked Band 1 in Energy: Electricity (Finance) in both Chambers USA (2019) and Chambers Global (2019). She is recognized by The Legal 500 United States for Project Finance (2019) and Energy: Renewable/Alternative Power (2019). Cathy is a fellow and trustee of the American College of Investment Counsel, as well as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Crédit Agricole — $1.7 billion new financing for McDermott International which includes immediate access to $650 million of financing comprised of $550 million under a term loan credit facility and $100 million under a letter of credit facility, as lead arranger and revolving administrative agent

PPL Corporation subsidiaries — $1.1 billion of mortgage bond transactions*

DTE Electric Company — underwriters counsel in connection with $650 million green bond offering. The bond sale was among the first wave of offerings in the United States by an investor-owned utility to specifically support “green” investments*
