Anna Karakitsos specializes in the energy, environment, infrastructure and natural resources industries. Anna has guided numerous clients through implementing successful policy strategies on Capitol Hill and the Executive Branch, focusing on the Clean Air Act, plastic recycling, chemicals, global treaties, and traditional and renewable energy. Anna assists a variety of stakeholders in navigating new regulatory requirements, congressional oversight and the ever-changing political landscapes.

Before joining Bracewell, Anna served on the US Senate Committee on Environmental and Public Works, developing policy and oversight strategy on issues related to the Clean Air Act, focusing on vehicle emission standards, National Ambient Air Quality Standards, renewable and alternative fuels, climate change and stationary source emissions issues. Before transitioning to clean air policy, she was part of the infrastructure team, working on the Water Resources Development Act and multiple surface transportation bills. Anna served on the Committee for seven years for Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma and Senator David Vitter of Louisiana.

Anna previously served as the environment director of regulatory and technical affairs at the American Chemistry Council, where she provided Clean Air Act policy and regulatory support on federal legislation and rulemakings impacting the chemical manufacturing industry.
