Bracewell Represents Underwriters in Evergy, Inc.’s $1.6 Billion Offering of Senior Notes

NEW YORK – Bracewell LLP represented the underwriters in the public offering by Evergy, Inc. of $1.6 billion of its notes. The notes were issued on September 9, 2019 in two tranches, namely its 2.45% Notes due 2024 and its 2.90% Notes due 2029. Evergy intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay a term loan and repurchase shares of its common stock under its ongoing share repurchase program and for general corporate purposes.

BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, MUFG and Wells Fargo Securities were the joint book-running managers for the offering.
