Bracewell Represents Eni on Disposal of Nigerian Assets

LONDON – Bracewell (UK) LLP represented Eni S.p.A. in connection with the disposal of its wholly owned subsidiary, Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC) – excluding its participating interest in the SPDC joint venture – to Nigerian exploration and production company Oando PLC.

NAOC focuses on onshore oil and gas exploration and power generation in Nigeria. Its core assets are a 20 percent operated interest in oil mining licenses 60, 61, 62 and 63. Closing of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of, inter alia, the authorization of all relevant local and regulatory authorities, including ministerial approval in Nigeria.
