Bracewell Named Finalist for M&A Deal of the Year at 2024 IFLR Africa Awards

LONDON – Bracewell (UK) LLP is among the law firms recognized for its leading role in the acquisition financing of Lekela Power B.V., which was shortlisted for M&A Deal of the Year at the 2024 IFLR Africa Awards. The winners will be announced in Johannesburg on April 11.

The Lekela Power acquisition is the largest M&A transaction for a portfolio of operating renewable assets across Africa. The transaction is notable for using a unique and innovative financing combining project, acquisition, and structurally subordinated holdco finance structures with South African rand and dollar-denominated debt.
