Bracewell and Prosperity Bancshares Win M&A Transaction of the Year Award at 2020 Houston Corporate Counsel Awards

HOUSTON ‒ The Texas Lawbook and the Houston Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel honored Bracewell LLP and Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. with the M&A Transaction of the Year Award at the 2020 Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards.

Will Anderson and Jason M. Jean worked closely with Prosperity Bank®’s General Counsel Charlotte M. Rasche in connection with its $2.1 billion merger with LegacyTexas Financial Group, Inc. The transaction is the second largest bank merger in the history of Texas and provides significant strategic and financial value for Prosperity Bancshares, Inc.®

The Texas Lawbook and the Houston Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel awards showcase the great legal work of the lawyers in Texas corporate in-house legal departments. Nominations were reviewed and evaluated by panels of judges that included general counsel, executives and board members from some of the largest businesses in the Houston community. Winners will be honored at a ceremony on October 1, 2020.
