The Two Warring Legacies of Mitch McConnell

Discussing the legacy of retiring Senator Mitch McConnell with The New Republic, Bracewell’s Liam Donovan covered the influence of the longest serving senator. 

McConnell helped push through the massive tax cuts that became one of Trump’s major legislative achievements in 2017. Donovan said “[Trump’s] greatest successes ironically occurred when he and McConnell were working together in a sort of transactional way, both on the official side and on the legislative side.”
