HOUSTONPhillips 66’s DCP Midstream Acquisition has been named the M&A Transaction of the Year by The Texas Lawbook and the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) 2024 Houston Corporate Counsel Awards. Bracewell LLP advised Phillips 66 on the take-private transaction, which closed in June 2023 and was the second part of a two-deal, multiyear transformation of DCP Midstream into a privately owned P66 subsidiary.

In addition, Phillips 66’s Executive Vice President, Government Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Vanessa Sutherland was also named the Houston General Counsel of the Year for a large corporate legal department.

Rob Task, Maine Goodfellow and Jenarae Garland led Phillips 66’s in-house legal team on the transaction, which had a total cash value of approximately $3.8 billion.
