LONDON – Olivia Caddy has been named a finalist for Banking & Finance Lawyer of the Year at the upcoming Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Women in Business Law Awards EMEA 2022. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on June 23.
Caddy, who is a partner in Bracewell’s London office, advises financial institutions, private equity funds and exploration and production independents on energy upstream debt financings and restructuring in the EMEA region. Her experience includes traditional corporate syndicated commercial bank lending, pre-payments, acquisition financings, and reserve-based lending.
Caddy is recognized in the energy sector for her significant experience and understanding of lending requirements. She is a native French speaker and has specific knowledge of local legal issues. Her ability to work in French and English makes her a unique fit to work on Francophone African transactions. Caddy was part of the Bracewell team that advised Savannah Energy Plc in its $676 million acquisition of Exxon and Petronas’ entire interests in the Doba oil field in Chad and their shareholding in the Chad-Cameroon pipeline and floating, storage and offloading vessel.
