LONDON AND NEW YORK – Lawdragon has named Bracewell partners John Gilbert and Martin Gusy to its 2023 500 Leading Global Litigators List, which recognizes practitioners who “specialize in international arbitration, a vast and powerful global justice apparatus that is the bedrock for resolving multijurisdictional disputes.”

Gilbert, who is based in Bracewell’s London office, resolves disputes across the energy sector through litigation, arbitration, expert determination and mediation. He advises on a broad range of disputes related to oil and gas exploration and production, the construction and operation of pipelines and the downstream sector. Gilbert also advises on disputes relating to power generation and, in particular, renewable energy projects.

The New York-based Gusy represents commercial parties and sovereigns in high-stakes, cross-border disputes and transactions, including international commercial and investor-state arbitration, US litigation and corporate matters. In addition, he regularly serves as sole arbitrator, president of the tribunal and party-appointed arbitrator in institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, also involving sovereign states.
