HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP’s Jennifer Speck has been named a 2024 Woman Who Means Business by Houston Business Journal in the Outstanding Business Leaders in Law category. The annual awards program spotlights women in leadership roles who have demonstrated excellence in their careers and community. Winners will be recognized on October 18 at an awards ceremony at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston.
Speck, who was also named as one of the publication’s “40 Under 40” list for 2024 earlier this year, advises clients on tax credit qualification strategies for clean hydrogen, clean fuel, carbon capture and sequestration, solar and battery storage, and onshore and offshore wind projects. She has also advised several tax credit purchasers in their purchase of approximately $500 million in federal income tax credits, including negotiating complex purchase agreements and insurance policies.
In addition to her client work, Speck recently participated in a free legal services Veterans Clinic hosted by the Houston Volunteer Lawyers, a Service of the Houston Bar Association. She is a member of the Greater Houston Partnership, Women+ in Hydrogen, Women in Energy, the Texas Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Speck is also an advisory council member for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center.
