HOUSTON – Heather L. Brown, co-chair of Bracewell LLP’s finance practice, has been named a 2023 Woman Who Means Business in the Outstanding Leaders in Law category by The Houston Business Journal.
Brown advises clients on complex financial transactions with an emphasis on the energy industry, including upstream, midstream, downstream, and services, as well as the energy transition. She represents both lenders and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral, secured and unsecured, and traditional and structured financing arrangements, including acquisition and working capital facilities, asset based loans, reserve based loans, dividend recapitalizations, institutional term loans, first and second lien arrangements, bond financing credit enhancement, project financings, contract monetizations, and insolvency matters.
Brown serves on Bracewell’s well-being and benefits committees and is an Alexis de Tocqueville Society of the United Way of Greater Houston member. She is also an advisory board member for Houston’s CFO Leadership Counsel and for Inprint, an organization that promotes the literary arts, including author talks, writing workshops, and support for local emerging authors.
HBJ and its panel of judges recognized Houston’s women business leaders based on their achievements, contribution to company and city success, community involvement and leadership. Brown and this year’s other winners will be recognized on October 13 at an awards ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Houston.
