In an interview with L’Express, Bracewell’s Anne Lapierre urges the French government to review its energy policy with regards to current and future impact of policy decisions on the French and global energy markets. She also encourages the French government to adopt policies that embrace green hydrogen.

Lapierre, who sits on boards of renewable energy associations, said that “energy is becoming more vital than ever. However, there is such political fragility [in France] that decisions are often disconnected from the issues at stake.” She added that the renewable energy market is “observing a wait-and-see attitude” due to political uncertainty.

Lapierre, who pointed to the hydrogen market to meet energy demand, said, “If we do not make clear decisions, France risks watching the train go by because on these energy issues, we are in a global competition.”
