LONDON – Bracewell (UK) LLP’s project finance team has been shortlisted for Project Finance Team of the Year at the 25th annual IFLR Europe 2024 Awards. The firm was also recognized for its work on Eldorado Gold and Hellas Gold Single Member, S.A.’s €680 million project financing facility to develop the Skouries Project, which was named a finalist for Project Finance Deal of the Year.
Led by partners Ro Lazarovitch, Tom Swarbrick and Oliver Irwin and senior counsel Bagyasree Nambron, Bracewell represented Hellas Gold in the project financing facility, which includes a commercial loan and funding from the Greek Recovery and Resilience Facility (RFF) that is expected to be replaced by an additional RFF loan. It is the largest such financing in Greece. Bracewell’s London project finance practice focuses on large-scale multi-sourced energy and infrastructure projects, many of which – including the Eldorado Gold project financing facility – are “first-in country” and/or “first-of-a-kind” project financings.
The IFLR Europe Awards spotlights legal innovation through dealmaking and celebrating work that improves the cross-border investment environment. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on April 24.
