DUBAI – Bracewell LLP has been named a finalist for three accolades – Project Finance Team of the Year and two Deal of the Year honors – at the 2024 IFLR Middle East Awards, which recognize law firms who have excelled in the most innovative and complex areas of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, restructuring and more.
Led by partners Tom Swarbrick, Oliver Irwin, Tom Jamieson and Andrej Kormuth, Bracewell’s market-leading project finance team has been recognized for its role representing the lenders comprising Alinma Bank, Riyad Bank and Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking in relation to the Al Ansar Hospital PPP in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This landmark project, realised under the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia MOH PSP Initiative, will improve healthcare services for the residents of Madinah, as well as for pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah.
In the other Deal of the Year finalist, Bracewell – led by Kormuth, Irwin and Swarbrick – is honored for its work representing Vision International Investment Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC and Gulf Investment Corporation in relation to its successful bid for, winning and financial close of the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under a Build, Own, Operate, Transfer model, placing greater reliance on the private sector in developing water infrastructure.
IFLR’s annual Middle East Awards program honors the most innovative law firms in the region based on the research culminating in the annual IFLR1000 directory. Winners will be announced on October 22 at the Mandarin Oriental, Dubai.
