Biden Walks ‘Fine Line’ Fighting Climate Change While Fueling Record Oil Output

Frank Maisano, a senior principal in Bracewell’s Policy Resolution Group, told MarketWatch that President Biden is walking a political tightrope advocating for climate change while advancing record crude oil production.

Biden is “walking a fine line between coalitions that he needs to win re-elections. It is a difficult balancing act given the differences that unions and climate activists have on oil and gas development and energy policy generally,” said Maisano.
