Bracewell partners Kevin Ewing, Dee Martin, Elizabeth McGinley and Tom Tomlinson will speak at the Institute for Energy Law’s 3rd Conference on Renewable Project Development in Houston. Co-chaired by Kevin Ewing, the conference will explore the legal and business trends and issues facing the growing renewables sector of the energy industry. Dee Martin will interview Katie Ellet, who leads Air Liquide’s Hydrogen Energy and Mobility business in North America, discussing hydrogen’s dramatic ascent and the challenges and opportunities of leadership in the expanding hydrogen economy. Elizabeth McGinley will participate in a panel discussion on “Tax Policy 201 and Market Reactions.” This session will provide an update on the implementation of the IRA, including the market response and continuing opportunities for development. Tom Tomlinson will present on “M&A and Financing Renewable Energy.” The panel will consider the various options for financing developments, primarily from a US deal perspective, but also drawing comparisons to the deal markets abroad.
