About David

David Harty assists clients in all aspects of the finance and development of domestic and international energy, infrastructure projects and real estate projects, including power generation facilities, renewable projects, chemical and petrochemical facilities, terminals, transportation facilities and real estate projects. He has experience working with sponsors, commercial lenders, insurance companies, private equity firms and other financial institutions in connection with the origination, modification and restructuring of financings related to such projects.

David’s keen understanding in real estate and projects matters has allowed him to serve as speaker at New York University’s Stern School of Business. David has been recognized with Lawyers Alliance’s Cornerstone Award for Pro Bono Excellence for his work with not-for-profit organizations in New York.

Crédit Agricole — $2.8 billion financing facility in prepackaged Chapter 11 restructuring transaction for McDermott International, as agent to revolving debtor-in-possession (DIP) lenders

Crédit Agricole — $1.7 billion new financing for McDermott International which includes immediate access to $650 million of financing comprised of $550 million under a term loan credit facility and $100 million under a letter of credit facility, as lead arranger and revolving administrative agent

Global Infrastructure Partners — preferred equity investment of up to $200 million in Dos Rios Crude Intermediate LLC, a subsidiary of Noble Midstream Partners LP formed to hold Noble Midstream’s 30 percent equity interest in the EPIC Crude Pipeline, which is being designed with an initial capacity of 590 MBbl/d from the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford to the Gulf Coast

Argo Infrastructure Partners LLC, an affiliate of AIA Energy North America LLC — acquisition of interests in Hudson Transmission Partners, LLC, owner of a 660 megawatt subsea electric transmission line from Ares EIF and Starwood Energy Group Global, LLC

Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. — acquisition of 100 percent of the equity interests in U.S. Oil & Refining Co. and certain affiliated entities for $358 million, including a 42,000 bpd refinery, a marine terminal and associated logistical system in Tacoma, Washington

ENGIE Development, LLC — negotiation of asset purchase agreement for the bid-contingent acquisition of three solar development projects from Urban Grid Solar Projects, LLC

Leading hedge provider — project-secured hedge to enable the debt and tax equity financing of a 200 MW wind farm

Affiliate of Brookfield Asset Management Inc. — strategic investment with Landmark Infrastructure Partners LP in forming a joint venture to invest in core infrastructure assets

AP Energy Holdings Inc and South Field Energy LLC — $1.3 billion project financing and equity arrangements for the construction of the South Field Energy project, a 1,182 megawatt combined-cycle natural gas electric generating facility located near Wellsville, Ohio

Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank — as lead arranger, in the $4.65 billion financing of McDermott International, Inc.’s all-stock combination with Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V., consisting of a $2.26 billion senior secured term loan facility, a $1.0 billion senior secured revolving credit facility and a $1.39 billion senior secured letter of credit facility

MUFG Union Bank, N.A. — $58 million term loan and building loan financing of Shops at Atlas Park in Queens, New York owned by joint venture between the Walton Street and Macerich companies*

German Bank Aareal Bank AG and subsidiary Aareal Capital Corporation — upsizing of $111.7 million fee and leasehold financing of 1460 Broadway, New York, NY*

Credit Agricole — represented the lender, in acquiring $50 million interest in the $430 million construction financing of the Seattle Hyatt Regency*
