About Chris

Chris focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial matters in the energy sector. He has experience advising oil majors in a range of corporate matters, as well as borrowers, banks, underwriters and international financial institutions in areas of acquisition finance and project financing transactions. He has also undertaken a range of debt capital markets transactions, including a bond financing for a major European infrastructure fund.

Savannah Energy — re-admission of the shares of the enlarged group on the London Stock Exchange following the takeover of the Seven Energy Group

Anglo Tunisian Oil & Gas Limited — acquisition of Medco Tunisia, a seven asset upstream oil and gas business in Tunisia, including the associated acquisition financing

Crédit Agricole — $2.8 billion financing facility in prepackaged Chapter 11 restructuring transaction for McDermott International, as agent to revolving debtor-in-possession (DIP) lenders

Crédit Agricole — $1.7 billion new financing for McDermott International which includes immediate access to $650 million of financing comprised of $550 million under a term loan credit facility and $100 million under a letter of credit facility, as lead arranger and revolving administrative agent

Etablissements Maurel & Prom S.A. — acquisition of producing interests in Angola from Mitsubishi Corporation

CCC Oil and Gas — acquisition of Gaza Marine gas field*

CPPIB — acquisition of Shell’s upstream interests in the Corrib gas field and its processing facilities in Ireland together with CPPIB’s joint venture arrangements with Vermillion Energy*
