C. Robert (Cris) focuses on transactional and corporate matters in the real estate industry. He has experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants in office, mixed-use, retail, and medical office environments. His experience includes purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, licenses, consents, service contracts, construction contracts, management agreements, leasing agreements, commission agreements and a wide range of other documents related to the operation and ownership of commercial buildings. Cris also has experience resolving the day-to-day legal concerns of private companies and real estate owners and managers.
Prior to joining Bracewell, Cris served as general counsel for a major real estate company headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. In that position, he oversaw all of the company’s corporate, transactional and asset management legal work, as well as advising management on all legal matters affecting the company, including litigation management, risk management, crisis management, records retention, corporate secretarial matters and compliance and integrity training.
