Bracewell partner Todd Greenwalt, who is based in firm’s Houston office, will serve on the “Tax Issues for 501(c)(3) Financings” panel at the National Association of Bond Lawyers Bond Attorneys’ Workshop (BAW) in Chicago on October 4-6, 2017. Todd’s panel will address tax topics in conjunction with qualified 501(c)(3) bond issues, such as the application of qualified equity rules as they apply to 501(c)(3) organizations and joint ventures involving 501(c)(3) organizations, issues of interpretation and application of Rev. Proc. 2017-13, and private use arising from research activities.
Todd Greenwalt works with governmental entities and tax-exempt organizations, advising them with regard to tax-exempt financings and other business transactions, and resolving tax-exempt status issues. His clients include all types of state and local governmental entities, hospitals, other health care organizations, colleges and universities, charter schools, museums, arts organizations, community and economic development organizations, private foundations, advocacy groups and other charities.
