Oil and Gas Investor Names Bracewell’s Austin Lee to its 2018 Forty Under 40 List

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP Partner Austin T. Lee has been named by Hart Energy’s Oil and Gas Investor as a 2018 Forty Under 40 honoree. The honorees are selected for furthering the goals of their organizations and the industry through initiative, intelligence and persistence.

Lee, who was named partner in January 2018, represents and counsels clients in the acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas properties, joint venture arrangements in the upstream and midstream space, as well as a broad range of transactional and operational matters regarding upstream and midstream operations. He has represented clients on transactions totaling more than $30 billion in deal value over the course of his career, including the recent transaction for Parsley Energy in its $2.8 billion acquisition of Double Eagle’s Permian Basin holdings.

He also brings an insider’s perspective to his work on oil and gas transactions. Prior to attending law school, Lee worked as an independent landman in East Texas.

The 2018 Forty Under 40 recognition comes on the heels of Lee being honored as a 2018 Law360 Rising Star in Energy in August.
