National Law Journal Honors Victoria Garcia as 2023 Immigration Law Trailblazer

SAN ANTONIOThe National Law Journal has named Bracewell LLP San Antonio managing partner Victoria M. Garcia to its list of Immigration Law Trailblazers for 2023.

Garcia, who founded Bracewell’s immigration practice in the early 2000s, represents many businesses, including Fortune 500 clients, in virtually every aspect of their immigration matters, concerns and other challenges. After focusing her early career on employment matters, Garcia identified her clients’ growing need to navigate various immigration challenges, including obtaining non-immigrant and immigrant visas for foreign employees; responding to audits, inquiries and investigations by the Department of Homeland Security; complying with US labor and immigration laws in the hiring, retention and management of domestic workforces; and complying with US and foreign labor and immigration laws in the transfer of employees between domestic and international subsidiaries.

“The ability to hire foreign workers is often critical for US employers who cannot find a sufficient number of US Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents with the technical skills needed for key positions,” Garcia tells The National Law Journal. “To staff essential positions within their companies, employers must navigate a costly and ever-changing immigration system. My role is to help them navigate this process and achieve a successful outcome.”
