Kate Day Named to National Diversity Council Power 50 List

HOUSTON – Kate H. Day, a partner in Bracewell LLP’s Houston office, has been named by the National Diversity Council to its 2021 Power 50 list. The list annually honors women in the C-suite from leading companies and organizations who endeavor to improve their departments and organizations, as well as their communities.

Day, who served on Bracewell’s management committee from 2017 to 2020, has earned the reputation within the legal industry as a champion for the advancement of women within the legal profession. She regularly leads all-women deal teams in successfully closing complex, multi-billion dollar financings across the energy industry, including financings for E&P companies, midstream companies, offshore drilling companies, and commodities marketers.

The National Diversity Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to being both a resource and an advocate for the value of diversity and inclusion. The national organization supports statewide and regional affiliates, which foster an understanding of diversity and inclusion as a dynamic strategy for business success and community well-being through various initiatives.
