Jonathan Frels Appointed Chair of the CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare Board of Directors

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP Partner Jonathan K. Frels was recently appointed chair of the CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare Board of Directors. Frels has previously served as the foundation’s vice chair (2018–2019), nominating committee chair (2016–2019) and projects committee chair (2012–2015).

Frels has spent his entire legal career focused on public law, public finance and state legislative matters, both in private practice and through government service in Texas. He serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel in public finance transactions for school districts, cities, counties, state agencies, navigation districts, port authorities, economic development corporations, water districts and water authorities. Frels also represents political subdivisions as general counsel with respect to public law issues.

CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare has been providing healthcare and social services to underserved communities of all faiths, ages and cultures in the Greater Houston/Galveston areas since 1966. The foundation serves as a safety net to the underinsured and uninsured through a combination of community clinics, school-based clinics, mobile clinics and homeless outreach.
