EPA Could See Legal Brawl Over Conflicting Air Pollution Advice

Jeffrey Holmstead spoke with Bloomberg Law about  a potential conflict surrounding the EPA’s airborne particle pollution standards. The EPA’s refusal to strengthen fine particle pollution standards may result in a legal battle over how the agency handles conflicting recommendations from its scientific experts and other advisers.

Ultimately, “EPA will be on pretty solid ground if it follows the recommendations of the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee,” said Holmstead.
