Companies With Merger Plans Eye Delays, Possible New Shutdown

Bracewell antitrust partner Daniel Hemli recently addressed with Bloomberg Law reporter Victoria Graham how merger-seeking companies are proceeding with caution on filing required paperwork as the possibility of another government shutdown looms.

Companies waiting to file government merger notifications “may make a strategic decision not to start down that path until there is more clarity in Washington,” said Hemli.
