Chambers USA Honors Bracewell as Texas Litigation Department of the Year

HOUSTON – At the inaugural Chambers USA – Texas Awards, held in Houston on June 13, Bracewell LLP was named the 2019 Commercial Litigation Firm of the Year.

In its 2019 rankings, Chambers USA reported that Bracewell’s Texas litigation team has a “deep bench with a reputation for creative approaches to disputes.” The editors further noted that “Bracewell’s work is simply exceptional,” and that the team is adept at handling energy, banking, securities, intellectual property and environmental matters.

The Chambers USA Award is the latest in a series of recognitions received by the litigation team since its restructuring as a litigation boutique operating within a large law firm. The team was named Large Law Firm Litigation Department of the Year in 2017 by Texas Lawyer. In 2016, Law360 named Bracewell to its inaugural list of the top 50 litigation firms in the United States. Bracewell was one of five firms with fewer than 200 litigators included on the list of “litigation heavyweights.” More recently, The Texas Lawbook and the Association of Corporate Counsel honored Bracewell as a business litigation finalist at the 2019 Corporate Counsel Awards in Dallas and Houston.
