Bracewell Wins Legal Services Provider of the Year at 2015 Petroleum Economist Awards

HOUSTON – Bracewell & Giuliani LLP’s London team was named winner of Legal Services Provider of the Year at the 2015 Petroleum Economist Awards on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Banking House in London.

Bracewell’s London office is a game changer in its market, uniquely being the first law firm in London dedicated exclusively to serving clients in the energy sector. In the last 18 months, the London office has acquired some 50 new energy clients, as well as acting for most of the leading energy banks. The London office is now advising clients across the world’s energy sector with mandates in approximately 20 African jurisdictions, as well as mandates across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.

The annual Petroleum Economist Awards aim to celebrate the people, companies and projects which epitomize the best of the energy industry. Petroleum Economist appointed a panel of independent experts, drawn from across the international energy industry, to judge the awards. The judges this year included HE Dr. Abdalla El-Badri, secretary general of OPEC and Malcolm Graham-Wood, owner, Hydrocarbon Capital Ltd.

The full list of award winners is publicized on www.petroleum-economist.com and will be in the October edition of Petroleum Economist, a Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC publication.
