Bracewell Represents EPL Oil & Gas, Inc. in $70.4 Million Acquisition

Bracewell & Giuliani LLP is representing EPL Oil & Gas, Inc., a Houston based independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company, on the purchase and sale agreement to acquire oil and natural gas assets in the shallow-water central Gulf of Mexico from Nexen Petroleum Offshore U.S.A. Inc. for $70.4 million.

The transaction is expected to close in late January, subject to customary closing conditions and adjustments.
