Bracewell Partners Marc Mukasey, Alan Rafte Named Law360 MVPs of the Year

HOUSTON — Bracewell & Giuliani LLP Partners Marc L. Mukasey and G. Alan Rafte have been recognized in their respective practices by Law360 as MVPs of the Year. Mukasey was one of three attorneys honored in the White Collar category, while Rafte was one of five recognized in Energy.

Both attorneys, along with their fellow MVP winners, will be profiled in the coming weeks on the Law360 website.

Mukasey leads Bracewell’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Special Investigations practice nationwide. A former federal prosecutor and SEC enforcement attorney, he regularly defends corporations and executives facing allegations of securities fraud, antitrust violations, environmental crimes, FCPA violations, money laundering, bribery, mail and wire fraud, tax offenses, embezzlement, and other business crimes.

Rafte is the co-Chair of the firm's Business and Regulatory Section. He serves clients in transactions that involve upstream oil and gas projects, gas and liquids pipelines and facilities, merchant electric generation facilities, electric utilities, and energy commodity trading.

A group of Law360 editors reviewed hundreds of submissions from the top law firms in the world, ultimately settling on 138 MVPs from 26 practice areas for their exceptional work in litigation or transactions between October 2012 and October 2013. This is Law360's third year honoring the top players in the legal industry.
