Bracewell Named Diversity and Inclusion Finalist at 2022 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP received two finalist nominations for innovations in diversity and inclusion at the 2022 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards. Two initiatives were shortlisted in the diversity and inclusion category: the Policy Resolution Group’s (PRG) Madam Policy podcast and the firm’s ongoing work with Minute Mentoring®.

Launched in June 2021, Madam Policy was created by E. Dee Martin, partner and PRG co-chair. The first episode featured civil rights leader and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Dolores Huerta. Other equally impressive guests include White House National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy, CNN legal and national security analyst Asha Rangappa, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, MD (D-WA), and Girls Who Code CEO Tarika Barrett.

With Bracewell as a founding sponsor, Martin co-founded Minute Mentoring® with former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino. Minute Mentoring® is an award-winning, fast-paced leadership program that connects women leader mentors and rising star mentees. Adapting to the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, Minute Mentoring® has hosted events on virtual platforms like Instagram Live and Zoom, drawing thousands of participants.

The 2022 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards recognize law firms, in-house lawyers and technology providers who work on precedent-setting, game-changing projects in the United States. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York on February 2, 2022.
