HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP served as counsel to Castleton Commodities International LLC (CCI) in its acquisition of more than 160,000 net acres of leasehold and Carthage midstream assets in East Texas from subsidiaries of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for over $1 billion.
The acquisition will give CCI access to the Cotton Valley, Middle Bossier and Haynesville shale plays. The acquired midstream assets include a high-pressure gathering system and water, as well as a condensate infrastructure consisting of more than 750 miles of pipeline. CCI is a global commodities merchant that trades physical and financial commodities and owns, operates and develops commodities-related upstream and infrastructure assets.
