Bracewell’s Brian Teaff Appointed Tax Chair of American Health Lawyers Association’s Tax-Exempt Finance Affinity Group

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP is pleased to announce that Brian P. Teaff, a partner in the firm’s tax and public finance practices, has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Tax – Tax-Exempt Finance Affinity Group for the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).  The AHLA is the nation’s largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field.  The AHLA’s Tax-Exempt Finance Affinity Group addresses the federal tax and related issues associated with issuance of tax-exempt bonds and educates tax lawyers regarding the unique issues associated with tax-exempt bond financing.

Teaff regularly advises hospitals and other healthcare organizations in connection with tax-exempt financings and business transactions in the public finance industry, as well as with respect to a variety of tax structuring, fundraising, and governance issues.

Teaff’s two-year term is effective July 1, 2018.
