DALLAS – Bill Mahomes, a public finance partner in Bracewell LLP’s Dallas office, has been appointed by Texas A&M President Michael K. Young to the newly formed Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Commission will look at data about diversity and inclusion at Texas A&M; examine whether university policies are consistent with its core values and mission; gather opinions from current students, alumni and faculty; and review the campus culture and its impact on minority communities.
“We’re fortunate to have dedicated Aggies who’ve agreed to take on this significant task at this crucial moment,” President Young said in a written statement.
Mahomes, who joined Bracewell in 2019, currently serves on Texas A&M’s Board of Regents. He was the first black student to graduate from Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets.
