Biden Urged to Take More Measured Tariff Approach
Law360 recently covered a webinar co-hosted by Bracewell examining the opportunities and challenges on international trade that face President-elect Joe Biden, including the incoming administration’s approach on Trump-era tariffs.
Bracewell’s Paul Nathanson said during the webinar that companies should not abandon the effort to get Biden to peel back Trump’s tariffs, noting that the administration of George W. Bush abandoned special safeguard duties on steel “because of pressure by our trade allies as well as pressure from the domestic steel-using manufacturers in the U.S.”
