Clean Water Act: The Good, The Bad, and The Muddy

This Environmental Law Seminar webinar discussed a range of Clean Water Act topics including reissuance and revisions of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ nationwide permits for work in wetlands and other waters regulated by Section 404 of the Act, as well as under Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act; developments in litigation related to the definition of waters of the United States under the Navigable Waters Protection Rule that establishes the scope of waters regulated by the Act; significant changes to the Clean Water Section 401 certification process resulting from issuance of the revised rule in July 2020; and the status of efforts of the State of Texas to obtain authorization to administer the Clean Water Act NPDES program for discharges of wastewater from oil and gas activities.
